I am an author and write murder mystery for both adults and children. Every year during the winter I take a sabbatical from work and set out for a vacation. While my friends think it is for relaxation, the truth is that I explore new places to develop a new plot. That is why the backdrop of my novels varies drastically from one another. This year I decided to visit any of the two places: Brecknockshire and Caernarfonshire. However, after asking my friends while comparing between the Brecknockshire hotels and Caernarfonshire hotels, I opted for the former place.

After going to Brecknockshire I liked the ambience of the place and realised that I will be able to get an idea for developing my next venture. The hotel staff told me about an age old legend about the murder of a count’s wife in a place where the Brecknock Museum stands now. After visiting the place and Y Gaer Roman Fort I got the ingredients of a suspense filled plot. I must say that the food of the hotel was great. I gorged on the continental cuisines a lot.
